Daniel Gospic (Croatia) is the new world champion in spearfishing. He dominated the competition in Mali Losinj, winning both the two days of the contest. The silver medal goes to his countryman Antonio Buratovic, whereas the bronze is for Bruno De Silvestri from Italy. In the team classification, first place for Croatia, second Italy and third Spain.

All teams are now on site … it seems that the strategy of the competition will be very important for the final result. Being the first on the right holes and on the isolated rocks will be a big advantage, but of course the weather and sea conditions will play an important role. According to most of the Athletes to get a good placing there will be needed from 15 to 25 fishes. Athletes are preparing the competition with a great engagement despite the hard conditions … The water seems to be very cold, much colder than everyone expected and the fish not easy to find … is this just a pre-strategy to confuse the opposing teams?
